Are you wondering why the page's name is rockhamlet.de and not e.g. peterweiler.de?

Am I crazy? Do I neccessarily need an artist name?

No, I don't! But about 98,745 percent of my songs are written in English, so I thought that an English name would make more sense and would be more suitable.

So I did!

As we all know, the name Peter derives from the biblical name Petrus.

The meaning of the name Petrus is to find in the Greek language and it simply means "rock".

For the second part of the name the bible didn't help. So I was wondering how to translate my last name, Weiler.

The easiest way to come up with a meaningful translation was to look up the name in an English-German dictionary. I was quite touched when I saw that the translation of my family name was "hamlet".

And that's about the end of the story. You may still address me with my regular German name without me being pricked. ;-)
